Las Vegas Senior Photographer

So when it comes to planning for an upcoming photography session. Senior photography ranks pretty high on my list of favs! Of course I love all my tiny babies, maternity, and family clients to the moon and back. However… All my Senior kiddos definitely have a special little place in my heart! There is just something about so fun and exciting about photographing seniors! Maybe its the way they are always so excited for their shoot and just overall generally happy to model for you. Of course teens these days gets lots of practice with instagram and all haha!

They also usually have such a great sense of style. Which truly can make such huge difference as it translates into the images! As a Las Vegas Senior Photographer I am always trying to connect with my senior clients in all different ways. During my shoot I love to ask them questions about their interests, sports, plans for the future, etc. I truly feel they are in such an awesome stage of their lives and I love to hear all about it! I often think of this time as a point where they may need words of encouragement too. So I try to do my best to invest in them by being uplifting and positive about what the future might hold for them. Sometimes it helps to have a few words of encouragement or compliments from someone other than your parents you know 🙂

Although most my senior clients have never been in front of a professional photographer’s camera being photographed. (Well except the cheesy school pictures you took when you where a kid). I do my very best trying to make them feel comfortable posing and being photographed. I will take some time to show them a few great shots to help boost their confidence and remind them that they look amazing! As I am shooting their senior portrait session I try to keep in mind I want these images to be timeless. For that reason as I am editing I try to stay away from “fad” editing styles. Knowing that 20 years from now when they look back at their images they will still be relevant and not something from the past. So wrapping it up seniors can be tons of fun and can be such an inspiration in just the couple hours spent with them! So lets bring on a great senior portrait season this year!! WooHoo 2016!
